ELECTRONIC SOUL SURFACES WITH EN-ZIGMAT-IC SOUNDS OF MACHINES
New York, NY, January 30, 2009 -- Multi-cultural outfit ZIGMAT (from Brooklyn) will release their debut full-length CD in the US this April, SOUNDS OF MACHINES—a pastiche of influences including soul, rock, dance, electronic, and world.
Fronted by vocalist MONICA RODRIGUEZ, with bassist STEPHEN YONKIN, Zigmat has already impressed audiences and critics alike with arresting live performances in several local clubs, including Mercury Lounge and Canal Room in New York City. In addition to their multi-textured performance, their shows come armed with complex visual display. SoM is Zigmat's follow-up to their American debut EP of the same name, which they independently released in July 2008. Zigmat also released a full-length Spanish version SoM in _(2008)_ in South America under the Brazilian label Ultra Records.
