We all know If it ws up 2 the public they wld definitely advance bcuz they hv bn the band 2 hold the most votes.Obviously the public dsnt just want 2 hear a band that plays rock they want 2 hear a band that can play other music as well.This proof is in the amt of votes they recieved.This band hs nt criticized any other band even tho they hv been hated on by many including other bands. I don't see what all the fuss is about. Why would any band be scared of a bunch of kids playing Tejano music. I mean c'mon... it's just Tejano music. A "Ranchera"! WTF are they thinking?! A Cumbia! WTF is that! I would think any band would want to go up against a bunch of kids...or am I wrong?

Well if you guys win, the studio should have "pitch correction" software to make the vocals in tune.

Official rules section section g: (1) Song must have an identifiable Latin influence (i.e. Latin rock, cumbia, ranchera, salsa, ska, etc.); "Does not say it is a Rock Battle" thruth is, Most bands here have no latin sound to it. I applaud this band for covering two of the 5 styles mentioned. apparently this band has a fan base. If you check out their Videos you would see they also play Salsa, and Rock. I say they deserve to there, and so do the other 3k + votes! Later!

We are on our own independent label Dead Bird Records. We were under the impression by what the rules stated that this was a music competition. Music with a "latin influence" competition. To my understanding it is "anything goes" as long as it has something to do with latin music.

Just to clear things up... this band does not play Rock music. They play Tejano/Chicano music. You know.. Little Joe, Sunny Ozuna, Selena. I'm amazed by how many people know of Selena, but not the type of music she performed. And if you consider yourself a Chicano and you don't know who Sunny Ozuna or Little Joe is... for gods sake please visit wikipedia! It's my understanding that this competition is looking for music with "an identifiable Latin influence (i.e. Latin rock, cumbia, ranchera, salsa, ska, etc.)... and that is what this is. The reason they are getting a good number of votes is because in the Southwest... Tejano/Chicano music has become an underground music making it popular again for teens. It's hard to get, hard to find, and rare for teenagers to be performing it at a high level. The demographic is from 13 to 65 and while there is a lot of rock bands and punk bands in this competition... I have heard only one Tejano/Chicano band. Google Veronica y AVANCE... you might be surprised by what you find. Check out their videos and remember respect is a universal.

Yeah it's me again. What is "Tejano" anyway? Is it a style or a race like Hispanic or African American? Is this contest coming out of New Mexico? My brothers band is "Tragedy of Me" and he lives in Albuquerque, NM. Maybe that's why a majority of the votes are for this band, because of the population in this state? So they' get this music, let's not put them down for it! Just feel bad for the slack their getting! I love Salinas' music and am still upset that she's gone! She could have done so much more. Peace!

Music is ok. Maybe some singing lessons would help as I fear that lead vocals are very plain. It almost sounds like she has a stuffy nose. But there are things that might help with that. There is potential there though. Just my opinion.

No offense Lia K.I thnk Veronica's music is great.Maybe 2 u the music sounds the same but thats not case for every1.If u luv Tejano Music & really know what this Music Genre intells you'll luv this band.I'm old school and the music Veronica plays reminds me of wut Tejano Music used to sound like. In this day and age many bands say their Tejano bands but the sound of their music is mixed with other music genres and that my friend is not Tejano. Veronica You'll always encounter people who have unpleasant comments when those come around dont take it personal smile learn from it and ask yourself what can I do to make my music appealing to others without taking away the real sound of tejano music.Sometimes the answer will be nothing. Tejano Music is not 4 every1 so u will never b able to make every1 happy.Keep doing what u r doing. You've come a long way ,at your age that is very very good . keep up the good work and remember to thank the Lord everyday for what he gives you and he will continue to bless you.
